Why Fly with CFA?

formed Carp Flying Academy has what it takes to turn the average airplane lover into
a full-fledged pilot.
What makes the Carp, Ontario-based academy stand out from the rest is its fleet of
Diamond Eclipse aircraft. These two-seater low-winged aircraft were designed in
Austria and built in 2006, in London, Ontario. This type of airplane can only be
found at three other flight schools in the country. The aircraft are known for their
ability to outperform more commonly-used airplanes yet are ideal for beginner
pilots.

“The aircraft at the academy are the nicest I’ve ever flown,” said Mark Stachowiak,
commercial pilot. “I’ve flown many planes but the Eclipse is an exceptional
aircraft.”
Carp Flying Academy uses the Ottawa Practise Area for training flights. The Practise Area is airspace specially reserved for flight training, extending in a rectangular shape from Pakenham to Quion to the Gatineau River, back to Constance Lake. Unlike most of the other Flight Training Units in the Ottawa area, the Carp Flying Academy is a short 5 minute flight away, saving precious time and money on commuting.
With the unique fleet and learning tools provided by the school’s experienced
instructors, it’s only a matter of months before a student can obtain a
pilot’s license to fly on their own.
The flight school, located at the west end of the Carp Airport, offers courses for
beginners in ground school and flight training to become a recreational, private or
commercial pilot. These licenses range in the abilities a pilot can perform, even up
to being qualified to fly for a carrier company.

Carp Flying Academy is the starting point.
“We keep our class sizes small to allow for individual attention,” said flight
instructor Brendon Day.
To see if flying is right for you, Carp Flying Academy offers discovery flights
where first-timers get a chance to fly for only $49.95 + GST.
