CFA Goes to DiamondFest 2006
Carp Flying Academy team were the honoured guests at DiamondFest 2006.
The Carp Flying Academy team, made up of owner Jen Putinski, Alan Maconnachie, Manager/staff pilot Kyle Guindon and flight instructor Brendon Day, were invited as guests to DiamondFest 2006, the second annual seminar event hosted by Diamond Aircraft.
The weekend-long event invited owners of Diamond airplanes to the London, Ontario factory July 15 and 16.
The CFA team travelled in their two Diamond Eclipses to the London Airport in close formation. This year was particularly exciting because it was the unveiling of Diamond’s new D-Jet model, which, in our opinion, is remarkable. The CFA team were treated to demonstration flights in the Diesel Twin Star DA42 and the DA40, both with the Garmin1000 Glass cockpit. The CFA team enjoyed a five-star meal in their factory assembly line building. The highlight were speakers Mr. Peter Maurer, President of Diamond Aircraft, AOPA President Mr. Phil Boyer and Diamond Aircraft CEO Christian Dries. The team toured the factory, tested out aircraft and attended technical sessions offered by Diamond’s vendors. The CFA team said they quite enjoyed their time in London and were glad to receive first-hand updates on recent product developments and learning about Diamond’s complete lineup of aircraft.
The team at Carp Flying Academy would like to thank everyone at Diamond for the wonderful experience they were able to pass on and looks forward to next year’s event.
